Bodybuilding Workout Steps
Having just decided that you want to improve your muscles mass and find the right bodybuilding workout program you must first be certain of a few important things. Are you physically fit enough to begin such a program? Many people will do the common sense thing and first talk to their health care providers to ensure that there is no reason for them not to begin this new exercise program. Once this has been cleared you are ready to start. You should also know what your goals are. What do you want to accomplish by your bodybuilding workout?
All the experts will tell you that part of a proper bodybuilding workout takes into consideration nutrition. This includes what to eat before the workout and what to eat after. If this is not part of your overall plan you will not build muscles as you won’t have enough proteins and you will eat too much carbohydrates which will interfere with fat reduction. Research the right diet and change your eating habits appropriately.
Then comes the warm-up. It is not just good common sense to stretch your muscles before getting down to weightlifting it is also good psychologically. It prepares you for what you are about to do. It gets you psyched up for the effort you are planning. It also increases oxygen and blood flow. Doing a warm-up first should also help to prevent injuries during your bodybuilding workout.
If weightlifting to build muscle mass is your goal you will have to set up a program that will include the bench press, dead-lift and squats. You must make sure that between these exercises that you take breaks. Overdoing it will not build the muscles any faster but it could cause injuries.
Once you have complied your bodybuilding workout for the day you must do some cooling down exercises. The recommendation is for five minutes of stretching exercises and five minutes on a stationary bicycle.
Just Say No To No-Carb Diets
Recently, there has been a revival of the Atkins Diet in which a person consumes no carbohydrates and can get as much fried foods as possible while still losing weight and staying healthy. While it has taken other names, it is still the same wolf in sheep’s clothing routine that’s been going on for decades.
I guess some people have not learned their lesson so I’ll have to say it again. Any diet that eliminates an essential nutritional component such as carbohydrates in this case is reckless and bad for your personal health.
Think about it for a minute….When God created the Heavens and Earth, he also created wheat, barley, potatoes, fruits, and other foods that are chock full of carbohydrates. If carbohydrates were not essential to life then there would not be an abundance of sources around the world. Your body’s preferred source of fuel comes from carbohydrates which gives you the energy to perform daily tasks, to exercise, to even think about exercising for that matter. If the body does not have a sufficient amount of carbohydrates to function, then it will use protein and fats for fuel which gives people the impression that this is good thing except that its akin to using sewing machine oil for your car instead of regular motor oil. While the body will continue to operate, the performance will be sluggish and unsteady and after a period of time, it will, of course, break down and will be in need of serious repair. In addition, if your body has to use protein for fuel, then you will have a deficiency in amino acids. The intended purpose for protein is for the maintenance of body tissues as well as the productions of essential enzymes, hormones, and other substances the body needs for its functions. This is the reason why so many people on these diets complain about sluggishness, dizzy spells, subpar performance in exercise, and simply not being able to think straight or concentrate.
The body needs all of the essential components and you simply cannot eliminate any of them. Your body needs protein, carbohydrates, and fats in order to function at peak performance. Just like any other well tuned machine, you simply cannot run correctly without every part in check.
So just say no to keto. Follow a properly balanced diet
Smoking Is Bad For You (From Head to Toe)
One thing I’ve encountered when consulting clients for personal training services is that more than half of them smoke which isn’t good. However even more disturbing is that some of them actually want to get in shape and keep smoking.
Perhaps the message still isn’t clear these day despite the warning labels on cigarettes, the multi-million dollar TRUTH ads, or the pictures and video of people in the hospital on their deathbeds. So I’ve decided to write this article to explain all the side effects of smoking and I will do it from head to toe.
Hair: Smoking will cause your hair to become dry and brittle. In addition it will cause partial or complete hair-loss due to the toxic chemical enlaced in cigarettes.
Eyes: The smoke from cigarettes can cause the eyelids to dry causing severe irritation and burning. This is especially prevalent to those who wear contact lenses.
Nose: Breathing capacity will be severely reduced and the smoke from the cigarette will cause the nose to increase production of mucus, thus resulting in a very watery nose drip that’s often mistaken for a cold.
Mouth: Smoking will cause your teeth to turn yellow enough to slow oncoming traffic. Tougue will develop a slimy yellow film on it as well. Damage to the gumline can also occur from continued use. Your breath will also have a very foul and rancid odor.
Neck: Severe damage to the windpipe. Emphysema is a respiratory disease onset from smoking and unfortunately a short-life solution is to drill a hole in your neck so you can breathe….barely
Lungs: Cigarettes will cause tar to coat the walls of your lungs severely cutting the capacity of air you can breathe. This bodypart is also were the killer disease “lung cancer” occurs. 90% of all lung cancer occurs from smoking
Stomach: Some of the smoke makes it way down to the stomach and the chemicals in cigarettes will interfere with the digestion of food causing heartburn. Ulcers can also occur from those same chemicals
Hips: Cigarettes cost more money these days due to high taxes so it will certainly loosen up the wallet quite a bit. This is the only occurance of actual weight loss that I’m aware of
Penis/Vagina: Smoking can cause impotence and lack of sexual desire. This occurs now on a more common basis as cigarettes are infused with more toxic chemicals to increase the addictive nature. These toxic chemicals including ammonia are most likely responsible for this
Legs: Smoking causes constriction of the blood vessels which in some causes will result in poor blood flow which will mainly affect the legs causing occasional cramps and pain.
Toes: Because smoking decreases the essentials nutrients in your body, that malnutrition will cause the toes to become thin and brittle.
Will all of these side effects occur in every smoker??? No, however even having one of these many side effects isn’t worth it. Smoking has no benefits whatsoever and will eventually cost you your life. So if you are currently smoking, I will suggest you to stop immediately.
